Indian Navy has dedicated the Mumbai City with its first-ever Sea Harrier Monument at Bandra Bandstand.
The jet served in Indian Navy for 37 years before it was decommissioned from aircraft carrier INS Viraat in 2017.
On December 3, 2020, Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray unveiled the monument. He shared the pictures on his Twitter handle.
Words aren’t enough to describe the feeling as I unveiled the Sea Harrier monument of the Indian Navy at Bandra Bandstand today. Thank you @Asif_Zakaria ji for this initiative that will remind us of the valour of the uniform, and inspire many more to join them. pic.twitter.com/YU4M9HqSaI
