Retired Colonel Prithipal Singh Gill, who is the only Indian Officer to serve in all three units of the army turns 100 years today. We at the Su-Niti News pay our respects to him for this service towards the country and wish him a long life.
Born on 11th December,1920 Colonel Gill joined the Royal Indian Air Force at a young age in the pre World War II era. He would then serve in the Indian Navy and then joined the Indian Army as a Gun Officer. He not only served in the World War II but was also a part of the 1965 India-Pakistan War.
Retired Lieutenant General KJ Singh posted on his Twitter account celebrating his birthday and reciting some of his stories. In one of his tweet a recent photo of Colonel Gill along with his younger self is seen.
