Update:- Vikas Khanchandani sent to two days police custody. Republic Media Network moves to High Court.
On early Sunday morning (around 8:30 AM), Republic Media Network's CEO Vikas Khanchandani was arrested by the Mumbai police after a raid, just a day ahead of the anticipatory bail hearing.
- One of Mumbai Police's investigating officer said, “We have direct evidence against Khanchandani and have also found his link with earlier arrested accused Ghanshyam Singh”.
Khanchandani's bail plea is being heard and order will soon be pronounced by the judge of Mumbai's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court in regard to the fake TRP case.

Earlier Republic Media Network moved NHRC against the custodial torture of the network's AVP distribution Ghanshyam Singh.
- Republic Media Network's CEO Vikas Khanchandani cooperated and complied with the Mumbai Police and faced over 100 hours of interrogation in the fake TRP case.
In November, The Mumbai Police Crime Branch had filed a 1,400-page chargesheet in the alleged fake Television Rating Points (TRP) case against Republic Media Network.
