Just 2 days after the Maharashtra Government drafted the two bills under the Shakti Act for the protection of women and children, an unamed Minister from Shiv Sena has been booked by the police for Sexual Harassment.
A 38 year old women(Her Identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court's Directive on cases related to Sexual Assualt) has lounged this complaint against him on Friday. She is employed at a gas distribution agency.
The Minister though has dismissed this charges against him and told the Mediapersons that she and three of her staff were caught black marketing LPG cylinders and had already made a fortune by this illegal activity.
He added that she was fired and a case under the Essential Commodities Act and IPC Section 408(criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant) was also registered by Police against her on November 26.
Her advocate has said that she has been complaining since 2015 but no actions has been taken so far against the Minister. The Police have booked the MP under Section 354 (A) (sexual harassment) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).
The women has alleged that a year after she took up the job as customer care in a gas agency in 2004, the minister was demanding sexual favours from her. When she didn't respond him, he started mentally and physically harassing her.
