Spurs slip up against Leicester,United thrash old foes Leeds

Jamie Vardy after scoring the penalty

Having been top of the table in November,a draw against Crystal Palace and then two losses meant Tottenham slipped up from 1st to 5th after losing to Leicester City 2-0 at Home.

Leicester were by far the better side in the first half as they kept on troubling the Spurs's backline. It was however in the injury time of the first half when the decisive moment came. A complete reckless nudge from the back from Serge Aurier brought down Fofana. After a check from VAR, Referee Craig Pawson pointed to the spot. Jamie Vardy made no mistake to give the Foxes the lead in the 4th minute of 1 additional minute in the first half.

Leicester got a second through an own goal by Toby Alderweireld after he tried to cut the ball out from the danger zone but couldn't handle his feet quickly and fired it into the back of his own net in the 59th minute. Leicester now are on second with 27 points,4 behind Champions Liverpool at 31.

For the first time since 2004, Manchester United met Leeds United at Old Trafford. The 16 year wait to face the old foes didn't start as they expected as they were 2-0 in just 3 minutes. Yes just 3 minutes in due to brace from Scott McTominay.

Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof made it 4-0 inside 37 minutes for Man United. Leeds got a goal back from Liam Cooper in the 41st minute to trail 4-1 at Half time.

Then goals from Daniel James and a penalty from Bruno Fernandes made it 6-1 for the hosts. Stuart Dallas pulled another one back for Leeds to make it 6-2. With this win United leapfrogged Everton at 3rd due to a better goal difference. In MW4 both Liverpool and United lost by big margins. In MW14 both won by big margins.Wow.
