On Monday, TV Actress Divya Bhatnagar known for her roles in daily soaps like "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" and "Udann" passed away due to complications caused by COVID-19.
The 34 Year old Actress was hospitalized nearly 2 weeks ago and was suffering from pneumonia. The pneumonia worsened with Covid-19 and she was kept on a ventilator due to her oxygen dropping down to 71.
Bhatnagar worked in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as a housemaid named Gulabo between 2009-2011. She also acted in serials like "Udaan", "Vish", "Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Moore".
Bhatnagar's Mother had levelled allegations on Divya's Husband Gagan for allegedly "Duping and Abandoning" her. Her husband denied all these allegations. Even Divya's friend and TV Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee said that her husband used to torture her physically and mentally.
Bhattacharjee known for her lead role as "Gopi Modi" in the popular TV Soap "Saath Nibhana Saathiya" posted a video on Instagram revealing that many took advantage of her friend. She also allegedly that Gagan used to physically abused her and also ran away with her jewellery.
She also revealed that Gagan was once arrested in Shimla for molesting a girl and spent 6 months in Jail and was then later bailed out. She said "You will return to Jail,because of how you tortured Because of You she suffered so much stress. You think she is gone now and you can chill with your girlfriends? I suggest all these 'girlfriends' to be careful, Because he can do the same thing with them."
Speaking to the Times of India, Gagan in his response said "When Divya fell ill and was tested positive for COVID positive, I was out because of work. Her friend got her admitted and contacted her family. She tried to contact me but since I was in no network area, she couldn't reach me. She was in regular touch with my mother. Her family reached out to Divya. I would like to clear out that Corona doesn't happen because of any mental pressure. It is a pandemic and everyone around the world is hit by this disease. The things that are being spread about me like I am a fraud, I am not helping her financially, I am absconding are False."
