In a major relief for movie enthusiastics as well as directors and producers, the Central Government on Saturday announced that Cinemas, Theatres and Multiplexes are now allowed to function at 100% occupancy from February 1st,2021.
The news was later confirmed by Film Critic Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account.

The ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) have also issued a fresh set of guidelines and standard operating protocols (SOPs) for the Cinemas and Theatres to follow.
As per the new guidelines and SOPs, cinemas and theatres will fall in the containment zone are prohibited from screening any films. COVID-19 protocols of Social Distancing,Face Mask,Use of Sanitizers, Installation of 'Aarogya Setu App', thermal screening at entry/exit are also needed to followed.
Theatres are also told to have separated seats,staggered show timings and bookings to be made mostly by digital means in trying to avoid no contact transaction of tickets, foods and drinks.
State Government can add their own protocols if needed. Movies like "Sooryavanshi" starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh, "83" starring Ranveer Singh and "Radhe" starring Salman Khan can finally release to a bigger crowd after this announcement.
