International flight to remain suspended till February 28,2021

 

On Thursday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had extended their ban on the international flights in India till February 28,2021 due to the increase of COVID-19 in some countries.

The ban on International Flights has been in place for over 8 months now. Since the restrictions of lockdown started, flights which have been approved by the DGCA have been allowed to fly with air bubble pact between India and other countries.

In the circular released by the DGCA, they said "The Restrictions shall not apply to International all-cargo operations and flights specially approved by he DGCA." The circular further read "However International scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis."
