Renowned Spanish news outlet El Mundo have revealed his contract details and claims that he earns a staggering €555,237,619 over four seasons if a series of conditions are met.
Having renewed his contract with FC Barcelona in 2017, he signed a 4 year till 2021. Earlier in Summer,Messi had desired to leave the club after the failures of former President Josep Bartomeu.
His four year deal have included a "renewal bonus" of €115,225,000 and a huge loyalty bonus of €77,929,955.
According to reports, Messi is now furious with El Mundo and will take legal action against the outlet for revealing his personal details and trying to harm his image and of the club.
FC Barcelona have since released a statement denying any responsibility of the leaked publication.
"FC Barcelona categorically denies any responsibility for the publication of this document, and will take appropriate legal action against the newspaper El Mundo, for any damage that may be caused as a result of this publication."
It added "The Club expresses its absolute support for Messi, especially in the face of any attempt to discredit his image, and to damage his relationship with the entity where he has worked to become the best player in the world and in football history."

Barcelona President Candidate Victor Font took to his Twitter account and defended Messi. In the tweet in Spanish he said "Leo Messi has won until the last euro paid to him by Barca. He has not ruined us.On the contrary. He is the best player in History and we want him to stay with us forever more."
