Schools & Colleges to reopen from February 1 in Telangana

In a major announcement made by the CM of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao,it was announced that Schools for Classes above 9,junior and degree colleges will reopen in the private and government sector from February 1,2021.

It has been over 10 months since all Educational Centres along the country were closed down due to the pandemic. Though online classes are still in tact,this decision has been made by the government.

The CM Directed the officials to make all the arrangements necessary for the reopening of schools,colleges and institutions. He has also directed the collectors to ensure all Covid-19 precautionary methods are taken at schools and colleges before January 25th.

"By January 25,keep educational institutions ready to conduct classes. Ministers should visit the SC,ST and BC hostels and ensure that Covid-19 safety measures are in place" said CM Rao.

According to Officals are around 4,00,000 Class 9 students and 3,00,000 Class 10 Students along with around 50,000-70,000 engineering and postgraduate student will be returning to classes from February 1.

Telangana is not the only state to make this announcement of Reopening of Educational Institutions. Karnataka government has decided to reopen colleges for First,Second and Third Year Classes from January 14. Schools in that state has already been reopened since January 1.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had announced last week that Schools and Colleges in Mumbai will remain closed till January 15. The state is set to make an announcement on the same matter on January 20.

Meanwhile Schools and Colleges for Class 10 and 12 along with final year and post graduate students have been reopened from January 11.
