On Monday the Narcotics Control Bureau had raided a flat in Mahim area of Mumbai and have seized mephedrone,which is a banned drug. Around 15 lakhs Rupees worth mephedrone was seized by the NCB as they arrested 3 people connected.
An NCB official has said that the three arrested are been questioned at the moment and the team is now trying to find out the source of the drug and to whom it was supplied.
According to experts, mephedrone is also known as "Meow Meow" and acts as a synthetic stimulant which has been banned under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In January the NCB had busted a major drug trafficking racket after they had raided a mephedrone manufacturing unit in the Dongri area of South Mumbai.
In that raid the NCB had Arrested Gangster Parvez Khan going by the alias Chinku Pathan is said to be a henchmen of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
