Bharat Bandh to be observed by traders on February 26

It has been announced that commercial markets all across the country will remain closed on February 26,2021 in the view of Bharat Bandh. This Bandh is said to be observed by traders in protest against GST, fuel price hike and E-Way Bill.

Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an Indian Traders body had announced this. According to them,traders will hold dharnas(Protest) in around 1,500 places across the nation tomorrow.

They have asked from the Central and State Government and the GST Council to review the GST system and simplify it for easier compliance by traders.

CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that the All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA) will support their movement tomorrow by observing a "Chakka Jam".

Addressing a press conference today he said "All commerical markets across the country will remain closed and Protest dharnas will be organized in Different cities of all States." He also added that around 40,000 traders will join this protest to support the Bandh.
