In a statement released by the Chinese Defence Ministry on Wednesday,they have stated that Disengagement at the South and North banks of Pangong Lake in Eastern Ladakh with Indian Armed forces has started.
According to Chinese Defence Ministry's spokesman Wu Qian, the disengagement process is happening as per the general agreement reached between India and China during the ninth round of commander level talks.
In a short press release, Wu Qian said "According to the consensus reached by the ninth round of commander level talks between China and India, the Frontline units of the Chinese and Indian Armed forces began organised disengagement from North and South bank of Pangong Lake from February 10."
Indian and Chinese forces have been in a border standoff which has been locked off since the Galwan Valley incident in June 2020. There have been 8 Different round of talks before this one and an agreement on that is yet to be reached. So far the Indian Defence Ministry's is yet to comment on this disengagement.
