Ex Indian Cricketer Ashoke Dinda joins BJP in Bengal

Three weeks after announcing his retirement from the international format of the game, the former Indian Pacer Ashok Dinda has now joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) ahead of the West Bengal Elections. His joining comes on the day when another Indian Cricketer Manoj Tiwary joined Election rival Trinamool Congress (TMC).

In the morning, Tiwary along with 5 Bengali Cinema actors joined the TMC. Tiwary revealed that he had turned down the BJP and didn't waste a single second when he got the opportunity to join Mamata Banerjee and her party.

Ashok Dinda had announced his International retirement on February 2,2021. In his career he represented India 13 times in One Day International and 9 times in T20I's and managed to pick up 12 and 17 wickets in respective formats.

The West Bengal Elections have been in the spotlight for quite a while now. The West Bengal assembly with 294 seats will contest Elections in April-May 2021. Currently the Trinamool Congress helds 222 seats but have see some backfire recently with many prominent leaders leaving the party to join BJP and other factions.

In the same time BJP leaders like JP Nadda, Amit Shah and even PM Narendra Modi have carried out rallies and conferences in trying to pursue the voters minds. They have repeatedly attacked the TMC Government and have promised to bring "asol poribartan".
