With the West Bengal Elections to come up in March-April 2021, Poll Strategist Prashant Kishor on Saturday 27th February, has backed the Trinamool Congress to win the election and has tweeted on his offical handle "To Hold Me to my last tweet" on May 2, the day when the Election Results are announced.

The Election Commission yesterday announced the dates for polls of 5 different regions. The West Bengal election will take place in eight different phases from March 27th to April 29th making it the longest ever polls in the state.
The eight days for election in West Bengal are March 27, April 1, April 6, April 10, April 17, April 22, April 26, April 29. These Decision by the EC is taken to avoid political violence in the state during polls.
Reacting to this dates,West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said "Bihar has 240 seats and has Election in three phases. Tamil Nadu has 234 seats and will have Election in one day. Why eight phases here? Who is benefitting... This is as per BJP requisition."
She also hitted out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling Trinamool Congress leaders as "tolabaaz" or "extortionist" and called him the biggest "dangabaaz" in the country.
