Being one of the popular & highest-paid actress in the 1950s and early 1960s, Mumtaz Jehan Begum Dehlavi aka Madhubala ji appeared in 73 Bollywood films in a career spanning over two decades. She was not just an Indian actress but also a film producer and playback singer who worked in Hindi films.
She started acting a very early age and some of her most popular films are:- Mahal (1949), Mr & Mrs 55 (1955), Kala Pani (1958), Mughal-e-Azam (1960) and numerous others.
Madhubala Ji is often compared and called as the Marilyn Monroe (Hollywood Actress with a kind Of Similar lifestyle) of India and The Venus of Indian Cinema. Coincidentally, both were 36 when they died.
