Breaking:- Joachim Low to step down as Germany boss after Euro 2020

After months of speculations regarding his future, Germany National Team football manager has announced that he will step down as the boss after the conclusion of the Euro 2020 finals.

This would result in the end of his 15 year old stint with the team. Appointment in 2006, Low guided Germany to ultimate glory when Mario Gotze strucked in the 113th minute as they Defeated Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Apart from that major honour, he guided Germany to the Euro 2008 Finals where they lost 1-0 to Spain in that final. They reached the semi finals in Euros 2012 and 2016 as well as last four spot in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Low's decision making was being questioned in the 2018 FIFA World Cup by many critics as they crashed out of the group stages of the competition losing 1-0 to Mexico in the first game and then losing 2-0 to South Korea in the final group game.

The Euro 2020 was postponed to 2021 due to global Pandemic COVID-19. The tournament will now be played from June 11 to July 11. Germany face very tough competition in the group stages which include Hungary, Current World Champions France and Current Euro Champions Portugal.

There have been rumours that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp might succeed him. Klopp who achieved great success at Liverpool in the past two years in which he guided them to their 6th Champions League crown along with ending a 30 year old wait for the league title, is having a difficult season filled with injuries. He has though ruled out such a move.
