Ex Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh accused Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of "extortion", decision to be made tomorrow says Pawar

In the latest development regarding the Antilia bomb scare case, Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh who was sacked from his post, has written an eight page letter to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and has alleged Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of extortion.

In the letter Singh has alleged that Deshmukh had asked now suspended Police officer,Sachin Vaze to collect a sum of Rs 100 Crore for him every month and ordered him to do so from around 1750 bars, restaurants and other establishments.

In response to this outbreak NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has said that these allegations by Singh are serious and a decision regarding the whole situation will be made tomorrow by CM Uddhav Thackeray.

"The allegations against Maharashtra Home Minister are serious. Maharashtra Chief Minister (Udhaav Thackeray) has the full authority to take a decision regarding an inquiry on these allegations against the Home Minister" said Pawar.

Pawar would however also add that it was Param Bir Singh who reinstated Vaze and not the Government.

Param Bir Singh was sacked from his post as Mumbai Police Commissioner after his name popped up during the Investigation and arrest of Sachin Vaze in the case.
