Govt Schools in Jammu and Kashmir to must have Tricolour signboards

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has directed that all government run schools in the Union Territory must install signboards with the Tricolour in the background and also adopt grey and white colour scheme for school buildings.

The school Education department has also asked to mention all the details of the schools on the signboards. An officer will later be instated by the adminstration to monitor this progress.

Further the schools have been asked to complete this activity by April 30 and send weekly updates to the department. Since 1956 J&K has adopted their own constitution and had a separate flag (a red flag with a plough and three stripes) besides the Tricolour.
