Karnataka Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi resigns after allegations of sex scandal surfaces

The ruling BJP party in Karnataka suffered a setback on Wednesday when Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi submitted his resignation letter to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa following an alleged "sex for job scandal" CD resurfaced which connected his name in it.

A video CD has been leaked to the social media and television news channels. They have alleged that Jarkiholi is in a compromising position with an unidentified woman. He had claimed the video was "fake" and refused to resign.

However after some meeting with party members he agreed to resign on the condition that if he is found to be innocent, then should be reinstated.

Opposition party in Karnataka have taken to the streets and have made Protest for the Arrest for Jarkiholi and a fair probe. This alleged video comes out at a crucial time when BJP is said to participate in 5 elections in 4 states and one Union Territory.

According to the police, the video was released by Activist Dinesh Kallahalli after he filed a Complaint with Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant.
