Amid the second wave of COVID-19 in Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Office has announced the imposition of Night Curfew in the state starting from March 28.
According to PTI CM Udhaav Thackeray was quoted saying "I do not wish to impose lockdown. But there seems a possibility of healthcare facilities falling short given the rise in the number of Coronavirus cases."
As of now the during the night curfew, Shopping Malls will remain closed from 8pm to 7am. "A separate order in this regard will be issued by the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Center" said the CMO of Maharashtra.
On Friday Maharashtra added 36,902 new cases. Out of the fresh new infections on Friday it included two prominent names,as Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood Actor Paresh Rawal were also tested positive. Rawal was tested positive, weeks after he took the first dose of Vaccination on March 9.
