Yesterday the Thane Police seized up around 45 kgs of Ganja worth Rs 9.57 Crore from the Thane Railway station. However the two accused were successful in running away.
Last night at 3:15 am, the police on their patrolling found two people loading heavy gunny bags in rickshaw. During the inspection, the duo revealed that the bag was full of rice and clothes. As the police started to open the gunny bags, the duo saw that as an opportunity and fled the scene.
In a statement released by the Thane Police they have said that an offence under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the two peddlers.
