On Thursday,the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have announced a major decision regarding the infrastructure of the state. The State Government has ordered District Magistrates (DMs) and District commissioners to bulldoze all the religious structures that encroach the roads.
On behalf of the state government, Additional Chief Home Secretary Avnish Awasthi has written a letter in this regard addressing all the DMs and Commissioners.
It has been said that in the letter Awasthi has instructed all the DMs and Commissioners all encroachments including illegal religious structures should be removed and has asked them to submit a report by March 14,2021 mentioning the number of structures which have been removed after the order was issued.
