Belair and Banks make history at Night 1 of WrestleMania 37

After more than 1 year,1 month and 1 day, WWE finally welcomed back live fans with Night 1 of the event known as the "Showcase of the Immortals" WrestleMania as the 37th annual edition kicked off last night. The event took place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay with a limited Audience of 25,675.

The event was delayed by half and hour due to a sudden thunderstorm. This was the first time ever when WrestleMania had been delayed. The event resumed after Co-Hosts Titus O'Neil and the Immortal Hulk Hogan came out to hype up the crowd.

In the first match of Night 1, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley successful defended his title against Drew McIntyre due to technical submission after the McIntyre passed out due to Lashley's Hurtlock.

The second match saw a Women Tag Team Turmoil won by Natalya and Tamina to earn a title shot against Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Night 2.

After that Cesaro in his first ever singles match at WrestleMania, outlasted Seth Rollins after applying a second Neutralizer to earn a major win in his career.

The Raw Tag Team Championship changed hands as AJ Styles and the muscular giant Omos defeated the New Day. Omos Completed dominated the match.

In the next match it marked the first occasion since WrestleMania 2 that a Steel Cage Match took place as Braun Strowman thrashed Shane McMahon with a running powerslam after throwing him down the cage to get the win.

In the penultimate match, Pop Star and Current WWE 24/7 Champion Bad Bunny teamed up with his friend Damien Priest to beat the team of The Miz and John Morrison.

In the main event of Night 1, Smackdown Women's Championship was defended as the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble Winner Bianca Belair took on the Champion Sasha Banks.

Following a furious fight, Belair in aggressive mode whipped Banks with her ponytail and hitted the KOD to win the Smackdown Women's Championship. This was the first time when two African-American women headlined the pay per view.
