Breaking News:- "Black Day" for Music Industry as Melody Pioneering Composer Shravan Rathod, Duo from Nadeem-Shravan passes away.

We at the Su-Niti News from the bottom of our heart condole and pay our tribute to one of the greatest musical maestro & melody king- Shravan Rathod Ji on his sudden demise. He was only 66 years old.

The composer passed away late on Thursday evening (22 April 2021) at around 9.30 pm.

Meanwhile, Shravan Ji's wife and elder son - musician Sanjeev Rathod, are currently battling COVID-19 at Seven Hospitals in Andheri. Due to which his younger son Darshan attended and performed the funeral and last rites.

On Thursday morning, Darshan Rathod had spoken to us (Su-Niti News) and informed that his father was recovering slowly.

For the last few days, veteran music composer, Shravan Rathod of the popular Nadeem-Shravan duo had been hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19. Shravan ji's condition was extremely critical as he had other  comorbidites too.

Shravan ji's music partner Nadeem Saifi condoled his friend's demise and said, "It is a sad day for the music industry. I have lost a brother but I am always going to be there for the family''. Talking to Bombay Times, Nadeem said, "My Shanu is no more. We have seen an entire life together. We saw our highs, we saw our lows. We've grown up with each other in many ways. We never lost touch and no physical distance could ever separate the two of us. I am in deep pain as I say this but my friend and my companion, my partner of so many years is no more. It has left such a vacuum. I spoke to his son who was inconsolable. We had been in touch on a regular basis for the last several days when Shravan complained of ill-health and had to be moved to a hospital. Shravan's wife and son are also unwell and are still in the hospital. I am feeling so helpless that I cannot be there physically for them, to help them and bid farewell to my friend."

Shravan's close friend and lyricist Sameer Anjaan said, "I have lost a brother, he was not a music director but like a brother to me. We are the hit musical team of the 90s. Mera naam ab adhura ho gaya. He was a fantastic human being I have known in my life. He has helped a lot of people; any friend or acquaintance who needed any support, Shravan was there for him. Uska koi dost uske ghar se khaali haath nahi gaya. He was a giver always ready to bail you out."

Sameer also added, "He never raised his voice at anyone was always soft spoken, a complete opposite of Nadeem who was very aggressive. I just spoke to Nadeem he was crying like a child, for him, Shravan was also a brother.

Doctors had kept him under observation in the ICU. During his last days, he was reportedly on ventilator support. There was reportedly a heart enlargement. A team of physicians, cardiologists, a diabetologist and an intensivist were watching over his case.

Nadeem-Shravan had composed super-hit songs in Bollywood films during the 1990s. From Aashiqui, Saajan, Pardes to Raja Hindustani - the duo delivered several special albums. Nadeem and Shravan are remembered and will always be remembered for pioneering the era of melody in India.

It is a matter of utter sadness that for so many years, Shravan Ji was not even remembered by any bollywood person except his close ones. It is a "Black Day" for the Music Industry and Bollywood Film Industry too.
