Breaking News- Students of Classes 1 to 8 promoted without examinations in Maharashtra

 

As the COVID-19 surge continues in Maharashtra, the state board has decided to pass all students and promote them to the next class from Classes 1 to 8 without examinations. A decision regarding students of Classes 9th and 11th will be taken soon.

This decision was announced by State Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikward. She took to her offical Twitter account to announce this.

"In view of the ongoing situation due to #Covid19, all state board students across Maharashtra state from Class 1st to Class 8th will be promoted to the next class without any examinations. A decision regarding students of Class 9th and 11th will soon be taken" tweeted Gaikward.

Meanwhile for the Maharashtra Board Class 10th a and 12th Students, exams will be held as per the schedule. Despite the exams being offline, the board has several relaxations. The exams will be held on curtailed syllabus. The board has also offered students to appear for exams in their respective schools. Students who have been affected with COVID-19, can appear for the special examination which will be held in June.
