Amid the second wave of COVID-19 in India, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has once again extended the suspension of international flights by a month. This time the flights have been suspended till May 31.
As always international scheduled flights have been allowed to fly on selected routes on air bubble pact. This restriction will not be applied to international all cargo operations.
Speaking of international flights, many countries have applied a ban on flights arriving from India due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in India. Many countries have also reported an "Indian Variant".
This morning the country saw another record spike of COVID-19 cases with around 3.86 lakh cases and 3,498 deaths in the last 24 hours.
