Mumbai Police issues new rules for transportation; vehicles to have colour coded stickers

 

In an attempt to "Break The Chain" of COVID-19, the Mumbai Police have issued new fresh set of guidelines for those travelling by theirs cars on the road. As per the new rules, only vehicles with colour-coded stickers will be allowed to travel from Sunday (April 18).

The stickers will be indicative of the kind of services/work that needs to be performed while travelling across the city. The three colours are Red,Green and Yellow and are available at local police stations, check nakas and toll nakas. The stickers are need to be sticked on front and behind of the vehicle.

So what are the colours? Check them out here-

  • Red:- For vehicles related to doctors/medical staffs, medical services, ambulances, diagnostic centres, clinics, vaccination centres, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, animal shelter/veterinary services, transport and supplying of vaccines, sanitizers, masks and medical equipments.
  • Green:- For vehicles related to transport of eatable/food items such as groceries, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and bakery products.
  • Yellow:- For vehicles related to transportation of officers and staff of central/state and local government, public essential service workers, press/media.
