Pfizer holds talks with India over potential vaccine supply

As India continues to deal with COVID-19, Pfizer has started discussions with the country over supplying doses of it's Covid-19 Vaccine "only through government contracts" in India.

This decision by Pfizer comes at a time when India has opened up the gates for immunisation and allowed companies the option to charge states and private hospitals, a potential higher rate for the vaccines. Last week India approved Russia's Sputnik V for emergency usage.

The third phase of Vaccination in India will start from May 1, which will cover people above the age of 18. Meanwhile Pfizer has announced that it will supply another 100 million doses of it's COVID-19 Vaccine to 27 European Union (EU) member states in 2021.
