Vaccination Drive on all days in April including Holidays

Beginning the third phase of COVID-19 Vaccination in India, the government made an announcement and said that the vaccination drive will be conducted on all days of April, including Gazetted Holidays.

In the month of April there are a total of 8 holidays (including the 4 Sundays). The other four are on April 2 Friday(Good Friday), April 13 Tuesday(Gudi Padwa), April 14 Wednesday (Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti) and April 21 Wednesday (Ram Navami).

In this third phase, everyone above the age of 45 is eligible to receive the Vaccination shot. Yesterday the country recorded it's highest single day spike since October when 72,330 cases were reported. Out of this 72,330 cases 39,544 cases were reported from Maharashtra.

India also recorded it's highest single day death toll since December when 459 succumbed to this infectious virus on Wednesday. India's active caseload is now at 5,84,022 cases. The country has recorded over 1.62 lakh deaths since the pandemic began.
