Son and Kane Led Spurs to Derby Victory Against Arsenal

Son and Kane will be pivotal for Tottenham's Title Challenge

In the 188th North London Derby, Tottenham Hotspurs took on the arch rivals Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium were for the first time in 9 months, fans were allowed albeit only 2000 of them were allowed.

Things have changed in recent times for these two teams. Once at a time Arsenal were the one who were fighting for the title and to remain top while Spurs were languishing in the bottom half of the table. Now it's Spurs who are fighting to stay top while Arsenal's Glory Days are long gone and are now in the bottom table.

Spurs Manager Jose Mourinho has never finished below the top two in his second year at any Club, winning titles with Chelsea,Inter and Real Madrid and guiding Manchester United to 2nd position with 81 points,19 behind eventual Champions Manchester City in 2017-18 season.

Spurs came into this match on back of 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Last Sunday. The first goal of the game against the run of play when a Counter Attack broke out for Spurs. Heung-Min Son was then released by Harry Kane and a darting run from the South Korean on the right side made it hard for defenders to catch him. He would curl his effort into the top right corner from almost 30 Yards Out in the 13rd minute to make it 1-0 for Spurs. Such a goal is always likely to a deserving derby winner.

Arsenal never looked that threatening and didn't create too many chances in the first half. Another Counter Attack proved too heavy for the Gunners as Goalscorer Son turned Provider after he laid it out for Harry Kane to smash home the ball into the top corner from a close range to make it 2-0 in injury time of first half. The duo of Son and Kane keeps on going for Spurs. Son has scored the same amount of goals this season(10) as Arsenal's whole team combined.

Arsenal had some chances in the second half, but some awful finishing from them and good saves from Hugo Lloris made sure, Spurs get the better of their rivals in the derby. This win took them over the top of the table and stayed ahead on top of Liverpool on Goal Difference after the Reds trashed Wolves 4-0 later in Anfield.
