On Wednesday, Legendary Indian sprinter Milkha Singh tested positive for COVID-19 and is now under home isolation at his Chandigarh Residence. The 91 year old, popularly known as "Flying Sikh" is said to be stable and is asymptomatic.
Speaking to the media, his wife Nirmal Kaur,82, said "He is doing fine and his stable. But I'm worried as he is 91. The local PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) has sent an attendant along with oxygen facilities to look after him. We are all praying for his speedy recovery."
She also informed that he has not been vaccinated yet.
The Legendary athlete is a 5 time Asian Games Gold Medalist. He also finished fourth in the 400m final at the 1960 Olympics.
