Major Tragedy evaded in Kashmir as Security Forces detect and defuse an IED

The Security Forces in Kashmir evaded a massive terror attack after they detected and defused an IED from a road leading to Railway Road in Kashmir's Panzgam village.

• The Jammu and Kashmir Police in their statement said "A joint team of Awantipora Police, 55 RR and 185 BN CRPF cordon the area and detected a container approximately 10-litre capacity containing Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and defused it on the spot as such have thwarted a major incident."

After detecting the IED, a team of Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called to defuse it while the area was cordoned off for further investigation.
