Amid the rising COVID-19 situation in the country, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG) has been postponed for atleast four months. The students will be given atleast one month of time for preparation after the government announces the new final exam dates.
In a PMO statement released today final year MBBS Students will also have to work in consulting and monitoring mild COVID cases under observation from qualified doctors and nurses.
"NEET-PG postponed for atleast 4 months,this will make large number of qualified doctors available for COVID duties" read the PMO.
"Medical interns to be deployed in COVID management duties under supervision of their faculty. Final year MBBS Students can be utilised for tele-consultation, monitoring mild COVID cases under supervision of faculty. B.Sc or GNM qualified nurses to be utilised in full-time COVID nursing duties under supervision of senior doctors,nurses" further added the PMO.
