As India recorded more than 4 lakh cases on Friday, Haryana become the latest state to impose a complete week-long lockdown to curb the widespread of COVID-19.
The announcement was made by state Home and Health Minister Anil Vij, a day after the state reported 13,588 fresh infections and 125 deaths. With these new cases, the state crossed the 5 lakh cases mark.
On Friday, the state government had imposed a weekend lockdown in nine districts from 10pm till 5am on Monday.
"Complete Lockdown to be imposed in Haryana for 7 days from 3rd May in the wake of rising Coronavirus cases in the state" said Anil Vij.
