On June 9, El Salvador became the first country to approve crypto currency BitCoin as an official currency. The El Salvador Congress approved a bill on Wednesday making it as a legal tender in the country.
This was later confirmed on Twitter by El Salvador President Nayib Bukele. He also announced that people who invest in BitCoin in El Salvador will get the country's citizenship. People who will invest Three Bitcoins in the country's economy will be given by the citizenship by the government.
A bill which was passed out in the El Salvador assembly got 62 out of 84 possible votes. This development is sure to bring a major boost for crypto currency enthusiats.
