Gautam Gambhir Foundation guilty of hoarding Fabiflu: Delhi Drug Controller Body to Delhi High Court; next hearing on July 29

 

Cricketer-turned-Politician Gautam Gambhir and his foundation has been found guilty of unauthorisedly purchase,stocking and distributing Fabiflu drugs to COVID-19 patients in Delhi said the Delhi Drug Controller body to Delhi High Court.

Delhi's Drug Controller body's advocate Nandita Rao said that his (Gambhir) foundation has committed an offence under the Drugs and Cosmetic Act.

Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Praveen Kumar has also been found guilty under a smiliar offence.

In a statement in May, Gambhir had told the Delhi Police that his foundation had organised a free medical camp at the Jagriti Enclave from April 22 to May 7 to assist people suffering from COVID-19. He added that the camp remained under supervision of Dr Manish Garg of the Garg Hospital.

Responding to the development, Gambhir took to Twitter to post a quote by Bhagat Singh. 

"I am a man and all that affects mankind concerns me - Sardar Bhagat Singh" tweeted Gambhir. 

Further hearing on this matter will be done on July 29.
