On Friday, Political Strategist Prashant Kishor met NCP President Sharad Pawar at the latter's residence and held talks with him which lasted for around three hours. This meeting between the two have now raised political speculations.
After the meeting both of them refused to speak to the mediapersons to state the purpose of this met. This is the first meeting of Kishor with Pawar after the victory of DMK and TMC in their respective assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Kishor had helped them craft election strategy in the elections.
Following the poll results, Kishor had announced that he was "quitting the space" announcing his retirement.
This meeting becomes significant as it is believed that the NCP Chief wants a United forum of opposition parties to take on the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Senior NCP Minister Chhagan Bhujbal stated that Kishor was an excellent political strategist and that his suggestions will likely be welcomed by Pawar.
Kishor had also met Udhaav Thackeray in 2019 before the latter became the Chief Minister.
