On Tuesday, the state of Assam declared a complete lockdown in seven districts with effect from tomorrow i.e July 7 till further notice.
According to a notice issued by the Assam State's Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) the seven districts that will have round-the-clock curfew are Goalpara, Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Biswanath and Morigoan.
As per the order, commerical setups, restaurants and shops will remain shut in these districts. All inter state travel has also been suspended.

Assam reported 2,640 new COVID-19 cases on Monday taking the overall caseload to 5,19,834. The State reported 31 deaths as well which took the death toll to 4,683.
