With the coronavirus cases showing a dip in Mumbai and Maharashtra and increase in vaccination, the Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai issued a directive exempting fully vaccinated people to enter the city through Mumbai Airport.
In simple words, People who have received both shots of COVID-19 vaccine will no longer need to carry negative RT-PCR test reports.
The Maharashtra Government in May had imposed restrictions on domestic passengers and asked them to carry a report of negative RT-PCR test conducted 48 prior to the journey.
"Domestic passengers who are fully vaccinated may be exempted from carrying negative RT-PCR test report while arriving in Mumbai" read an order issued by the BMC.
Maharashtra reported 7,603 new coronavirus cases and 53 on fatalities on Monday.
