Actor-Filmmaker Satish Kaushik passes away at 66; mortal remains to reach Mumbai via air ambulance.

On Wednesday March 8, renowned Actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66 in Delhi. His untimely death has left the Hindi film industry in shock.

• According to ANI, on March 7, he attended the holi bash of Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar in Mumbai. A day later he travelled to Delhi to attend a close friend's Holi party where he reportedly fell ill.

Actor Anupam Kher, a close friend of Satish, broke the news of his demise on social media in the early hours of Thursday morning.

In an emotional note in Hindi he wrote, "I know "death is the ultimate truth of this world!" But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years !! Life will never be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!"

The mortal remains of Satish Kaushik will be brought to Mumbai via Air Ambulance for last rites following post mortem in Delhi.
