It couldn't? Could it? The term of "It's Coming Home" has been used by the English folks for a long time to cheer up their side in major tournaments. Having suffered a heartbreak at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Semi Final against Croatia in extra time, England find themselves in another Semi Finals of a major competition. Can they actually pull it off this time?

Overcoming Germany in the Round of 16, meant England faced off against Ukraine at the Quarter Finals at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Ukraine found themselves in the last eight, courtesy of a very late winner through Artem Dovbyk in extra time which sent them in dreamlands.

However they were brought back to reality as England hammered them 4-0 to ease through to the Semis. A brace from Captain Harry Kane along with goals from Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson setted up a huge semi final clash against Denmark (who defeated Czech Republic 2-1) at Wembley.

They took an early lead as Sterling made a fine run and offloaded an incisive pass to Kane, who poked it first time to beat George Buschan in the 4th minute.

The Three Lions then made a much better start in the second half as two quick goals in space of first four minutes of the half made it 3-0. Left back Luke Shaw picked up both the assist as his efforts were matched by Maguire and Kane in the 46th and 50th minute.

Jordan Henderson then laid the icing on the cake as he headed in a Mason Mount cross to make it 4-0 in the 63rd minute. This was the Liverpool's Captain, first ever International goal coming in his 62nd cap for the Three Lions.

Earlier on, Denmark continued their adventurous run as they knocked out Czech Republic 2-1. Goals from Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg had given the 1992 Champions, a comfortable lead going into the break. However that lead was cut in half as Patrick Schick notched up his 5th goal of the competition to make it 2-1. The Czech's were unable to get a equalizer and crashed out of the tournament but with their heads held high.
