Everton suspend "First-Team" player following arrest in child sex offences case

 

As per reports from England, a Premier League Footballer has been arrested on suspicion of alleged child sex offences. He is a member of top Premier League Club, Everton, who have already suspended the "First-Team Player".

In a statement on Club's Website, they did not identify the player or provided any further details.

"Everton can confirm it has suspended a first-team player pending a police investigation. The club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time" said the club in their statement.

The player was arrested by the Greater Manchester Police who later released him on bail "pending enquiries".

"Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on Friday 16th July 2021 on suspicion of child sex offences. He is on police bail pending further enquiries" said the Greater Manchester Police.
