India are all set to renew their long term cricketing rivalry with arch rivals Pakistan as both teams along with New Zealand and Afghanistan were drawn in Group 2 of the Super 12 for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced this on Friday afternoon. Group 1 sees Defending Champions West Indies take on England, Australia and South Africa. Four teams (two from each round) will then join these teams.

Round 1 of the T20 World Cup sees Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands and Namibia in Group A while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Scotland, Papau New Guinea and Oman in Group B.

The winners of Group A and runners-up of Group B will join Group 1, while winners of Group B and runners-up of Group A join Group 2 of the Super 12.

The Groups have been decided as per ICC Rankings. The World Cup was originally scheduled to be hosted in India but was later shifted to United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.
