PM Narendra Modi inaugurates various projects in Varanasi including Rudrakash

On Thursday 15th July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones of multiple projects in Varanasi,Uttar Pradesh. He also inaugurated the International Cooperation and Convention Centre "Rudrakash", which was constructed with Japanese assistance.

  • On his one-day trip to Varanasi, PM inaugurated various public projects and works, including a 100-bed MCH wing in BHU, a multi-level parking at Godauliya, Ro-Ro vessels for tourism development on River Ganga and a three-lane flyover bridge on Varanasi-Ghazipur Highway.

PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 744 Crore and laid foundation stones to several other projects and public works worth Rs 839 Crore.

Speaking on Rudrakash, PM Modi highlighted the good relations between India and Japan.

"'Rudrakash' has a modern shine and cultural aura. This project potrays India-Japan ties and scope for future opportunities. Today, with the efforts of both countries, a new chapter has been written on development and bilateral relations" said PM Modi.
