The Indian Government on Sunday extended the ban on scheduled international flights till September 30,2021.
"However International scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis" said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Dedicated cargo flights will also operate as per schedule. The ban on International flights has now been extended to 18 months.
The original ban was expected to end on 31st August,2021. With just few days remaining, the DGCA decided to extend it again keeping in view of the global pandemic.
