Kingfisher House sold for Rs 52 Crore

 

Kingfisher House, the former headquarters of the now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines Limited in Mumbai, which was founded by fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya, has been sold to Saturn Relators a Hyderabad based company for Rs 52.25 Crore, one-third of its reserve price of Rs 135 Crore.

It has been sold at it's ninth attempt.

The house is situated near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at Santacruz and was originally valued at Rs 150 Crore.

The money received from this sale will go to the lenders that have already recovered Rs 7,250 Crore through the auction of his (Mallya) shares.

According to reports, Kingfisher Airlines owes Rs 10,000 Crore to a group of banks led by the State Bank of India (SBI).
