Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi 2021 with COVID-19 Guidelines

With the festive season almost upon us, there has been a major breakthrough which is surely set to bring joy to millions of heart. As reported earlier, the famous Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal of Mumbai will be holding the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration this year in the traditional manner while sticking along to all the COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.

Last year (2020), marked the first time in history when Lalbaugcha Raja did not observe the Ganesh Chaturthi due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead the Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal had organised a blood and plasma donation camp.

Earlier the Maharashtra Government had issued guidelines to restrict the height of Ganesh idols to four feet. The height of idols in public celebrations has been restricted to 4 feet, while those in homes have been restricted to 2 feet.

Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten day festival that starts on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month Bhadrapada, will start from 10th September this year.

Lakhs of devotees from all over the country have visited the Mandal to seek blessings and have a glance at Lord Ganesh signalling it's popularity among faithfuls.
