On Sunday night, 85-year-old Prominent Bengali writer Buddhadeb Guha passed away at a private hospital in Kolkata after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He is survived by his 2 daughters. Some of his notable works include 'Madhukari', 'Koeler Kachhe', 'Sobinoy Nibedon' and 'Baba Howa'.
Creator of the fictional character Rijuda and his side-kick Rudra, the ace writer was also popular among children. Most of his works were dominated by the theme of nature and forest.
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee among others expressed condolences on the demise of Guha.
