Shiv Sena workers vandalise 'Adani Airport' nameboard in Mumbai

On Monday, Shiv Sena workers in their protest against the renaming of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, vandalised and damaged the name board of Adani Airport. The ruling part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in Maharashtra has always been against the renaming of the airport.

The workers of Shiv Sena have said that the name of the airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Adani Group has no right to change the name.

However in July this year, the Adani Group took over the management of the Mumbai International Airport from the control of GVK Group. The Adani Group now controls the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport with a 74 per cent stake.
